You haven't provided us any information to even give us the slightest clue as to why you have ads being blocked in your system. You could have any number of browser add ons, 3rd party clients, or even network security solutions on your network doing this.

These forums are for support of the Untangle UTM Software. Which it doesn't seem like you have installed. So there isn't much help we can be.

P.S. There are a world of benefits for removing advertising outright. As you said they are invisible, and useless. And when you start calculating the bandwidth saved on a 100 user network over a year long period... yeah...
