Wow, I'm a fickle person. After reading some other posts in this forum about the Atom performance and other review sites, I've decided against it. Apparently a Celeron 440 uses just as much power (35W TDP) but performs better. And since I want a 1U server for a rack at home, the device that fits the bill is this one.

The only place where the Atom 330 performs better is in certain benchmarks where both cores can be used. In single core tasks, get the Celeron.
