Default ad blocker - blocking untangle.com

I thought this was ammusing when checking the Ad Blocker logs this morning:

http://www2.untangle.com/www/delivery/spcjs.php?id=3

When I go to the url above I got this in my browser:

Code:
This site was blocked because it contains ad content

Host: www2.untangle.com

URI: /www/delivery/spcjs.php?id=3
Guess it works too well

Yet again, a couple of days ago, a NIS09 install gave me the malware screen twice for http://forums.untangle.com.

Someone over there has pissed someone at Symantec off.

Hmm well I wish someone over at Symantec would get pissed off enough to actually create a working AV product. Granted the 09 version is a massive step in the right direction... finally, after what? A decade of failed releases?

I didnt know that either. I thought symantec bought out other companies and then completely screw their product lines for a business. Veritas anyone?

I use AVG at home because it's free. I use eSet everywhere else... how does that make me an AVG fanboy? Heck, I'm the first to complain about AVG's lack of stability on 64bit OSs. I use it because it is there... and I know it well enough to fix it when it breaks.

Symantec and McAfee have been useless for over a decade... this isn't anything new, we've all been fighting it. At least the Symantec guys are showing some comeback, and the current McAfee corporate edition isn't as bad as it used to be as well.

Still it will be a LONG time before they can pry me away from my eSet, the new NOD32 4.0 is very nice and my clients are responding to the new GUI very well. Don't fix what isn't broke. And renewals are cheaper than new.
