I run desktop authority during the login process, as it maps peoples drives, printers + sets up there outlook profiles.

The ADLogin Script works fine when I login to a machine that has never had Desktop Authority run on it.

I login in to our Terminal Server using my own account that DA doesn't run on.(of course it has ran on the Terminal server as other users use it.) It is still trying to login as I type this.
Code:
ServerName is: 192.168.10.49
Entering the loop...
h**p://192.168.10.49/adpb/registration?username=NAME&domain=ANTRIMBC&hostname=TERMINAL&action=login
Here we go again!
h**p://192.168.10.49/adpb/registration?username=NAME&domain=ANTRIMBC&hostname=TERMINAL&action=login
At the minute it's got the background on it and nothing else.

Now if I check untangle it has me logged in.

I tried logging in using my account on one of our servers that only admins have access to and DA has never ran on before. I get logged in normally.

So question is what exactly does DA not like about this script?
What is the conflict ?

A machine that DA has been ran on, makes the machine dislike the script, as my own count doesn't run DA during login. Yet still takes 10-20mins to get me in.

Annoying me now as I like untangled but if I don't some how resolve this issue I will most likely be forced back into using Barracuda. Which I don't want.

http://forums.untangle.com/ad-connec...authority.html

I created a batch file called Untangle_logon.bat and placed it in the netlogon directory. The batch file was simply:

@echo off
start \\servername\netlogon\adlogon_user.vbs

I then kicked off this batch file from the application launcher in Desktop Authority and everything ran perfectly.

Issue resolved, issue would of been resolved days ago if I could read things properly.
The thread above gives the exact info I need and I miss read it.

Guess that's what happens when your working on several different things at once and your head is fried

Thanks for the help anyway guys!!
Loving Untangle loads now

Welcome to the community!

The funny thing is I deployed my script the first time with a DOS batch like you did and it CAUSED the problem. So by stuffing it into group policy it solved it... I guess we'll just categorize this one into the integration issue file. Glad you got it working.

Is there a reason why the ad script would slow down web browsing?

When I check task manager processes wscript is running in the back ground.
Today on a users PC, the net was going extra slow. Once I killed wscript browsing returned to normal.

The update request is more than likely using IE in the background to deal with updating untangle. I've noticed that if any instance of IE gets hung on a web request, visible or not, all network traffic holds until the timeout of that instance is cleared.

This could be indicative of your internal interface being overloaded on Untangle, or some other bottleneck preventing the computer from communicating with untangle.
