How do you block Yahoo web mail users? This is through https and you cannot put those in the Web Content Control.
Thank you,

You can try blocking yahoo ip address ( or its entire subnet) via firewall or web content.

I did a test on our lab and was able to block it on web content control by adding a block list url mail.yahoo.com. I was able to go to yahoo.com but was blocked when i tried logging in my mail account.

found out that they have a lot of alias for webmail one is login.yahoo.com. you could put the ip address of this host set and a block rule on firewall.

Hey,
in the web content control, go to "Blocklist"------> "URL" the add the url name as "yahoo" it will restrict the word where ever it finds "yahoo" it worked for me. lemme know your feed back on this.

Meet the newest entry to urlblacklist.com ... Mel McDoogle and the website he would like you to go to if only it wasn't added to blacklists.

Our corporate folks decided to block access to Yahoo years ago, but didn't block access to the SSL login to say nothing of the various Yahoo's around the world. Number one way to bypass the blocks in our office seemed to be to visit the UK version of Yahoo and login there. Never did figure out why they blocked Yahoo mail, but left every competitor out there unblocked...

Have you tried turning the Webmail to block in the Web Filter module? I just did and it wouldn't access it using http or https. I am using 5.1 but I would think it would work the same in 5.03.

The easiest way to block Yahoo mail is to block SOCKS 5 under Protocol control... it works like a charm...
