I have a proliant ML330 G3 with onboard IDE controllers. The default installation does not detect these IDE channels and I'd like to know how I can add the driver manually and if linux drivers will work.

were these set as raid ( some controllers can set channels as raid )?

coming releases allows user access to os which will allow driver installation.

Both channels are capable of raid 0 and 1, I do not have the drives configured for raid however.

Can you shed some light on when this "coming" release can be expected?

I'm still having problems running on the Proliant ML330 platform regarless of the disk subsystem used.

I have also tried the Dell Optiplex 320 platform and cannot even completed the install.

A good list of certified hardware the way infrant has would make this ordeal much less painfull. Beating my head against the wall is not fun.

your using bios fake raid or fraid. turn it off and use a real hardware raid configuration. friad is nothing more than software raid using a proprietary software driver:
