Firewall Help

Hello All,

I have downloaded and configured the firewall rack add-on but at grc.com the ports are open. How do I setup the firewall to close these ports? I have read the admin manual and I cannot find how to close the ports on the firewall.

I have been using the untangle product for a few hours and so far things a good. I really need to close the ports on the firewall before I feel comfortable testing the product on a larger scale. NAT and the content filter work well by the way.

Hello,

On the Firewall module, please click the "show settings" button. Then, I recommend clicking the "expand settings" button to view in a bigger window. In the firewall module, there should be some sample rules.

To enable a rule, please make sure the enable rule is check marked.

Tony is right, expanding the settings really helps because if you look over to the right you'll notice that you can take "source port" or "destination port" into account in your custom rules.

We'll add something specific about that in the documentation...
