I've been trying to get the 5.2 to download and install. CD will boot but the wizard won't do it's thing. I get a fairly long error list and then a knoppix prompt, I've tried downloading 4 times. Other thing is the download says it's going to download a 456mb file, but what I get is a 407mb. I've tried this from 3 different computers. I haven't found any complaints about this, so I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing wrong. An Untangle setting in the 5.03 I'm going through?

Other question is: Will 5.2 work with a wpn311 on the external port? 5.03 won't.

Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry! Dropping you to (a very limited) shell. Press reset to quit.
additional commands blah blah
knoppix#

Okay, I get an Untangle splash screen, then I get other text about finding hardware, then I get the above.

How can I get the install moving along from here?

Bad burn? Other than that incompatible hardware on some level.. if you came from 5.03, 5.1 and 5.2 use a different linux kernel that rewrote a lot of the rules.

I had exactly the same problem.
Tried downloading several times but had same error message when trying to boot UT.

In the end used IE instead of Firefox to download and checked against MD5 (b61078a2a0f563396b0c0d3a3e71cb0f ) to make sure download was correct.

And for some with crappy burners.. slow down the burn to 4x.

I used Galeon, Konquerer, Epiphany, SeaMonkey and ie. All same problem, different burners on different computers. Never had a bad burn before that wasn't related to a bad disk. It would help if there was some info about what is being downloaded so we can compare it with what we get. There's close to 50mb of something missing. I suspect the location I may have been downloading from but I didn't take notes on which mirror I may have been using. I had just clicked on 'download' from the untangle website, but after downloading started I realized I was on a page at sourceforge.

I tried several mirrors before i got one that gave me a good image
If i remember correctly they were US mirrors.
The Sydney OPTUS mirror gave me heaps of errors and dropped connections.
