View Full Version : Tab Key does not work in VNC on RAP
I have several users that complained about the Tab key not working in RAP when using VNC. I tested it myself and noted that the TAB key does not work in the Remote Window, but instead seems to be assigned to the VNC menu. So I can tab between the buttons on the upper window menu for: Disconnect, Options, Clipboard,Record, Send Ctrl-Alt-Del, and Refresh.
My users could care less about that. They want it to work in the Remote Desktop Window. Any way to fix this?
Update - I was using UltraVNC, and after a conversation with Tech Support, decided to try TightVNC. Same results. Next option - remove Java 6 and install Java 5 update 7. I'll Let you know.
I have done what I can. Rolled back to Java 5 update 7 and tightVNC. The TAB key still does not work on the RAP using VNC.
Still no responce on this. Odd how a paid for product gets very little attention compared to the free open source modules.:twocents:
This is bug #4184. Feel free to look at it in http://bugzilla.untangle.com. Check in there as often as you would like to know what the current status is. If its an issue with an upstream product, it will take longer to resolve.
MDH Glad to see that it is being worked on. Sorry for being hard on you guys. Just did not like losing that deal over this issue.
Fortunately we came up with an alternative for now, we are using the Echogent.com software to provide the remote access. It looks like we will be able to keep the Untangle box there for now and they are very much interested in seeing the issues with ProperJavaRDP /Java versions fixed along with the Tab key issue fixed in the next release.:popcorn:
