Is there anywhere to put a global whitelist?

I have aliases on email accounts that untangle quarantine send me messages daily, that do contain valid emails. I don't want to maintain different whitelists.

I don't care if I have a whitelist text file on the untangle machine (like I used to with mailscanner), I just can't find such a thing. I believe it might be storing everything in postgres.

Thanks

Yes there is a global whitelist. :)

Its under config->email somewhere.
(It applies to all email filtering applications except virus blockers)

We really need a global blacklist too - preferably by domain, partial or complete email address. I'd like to be able to enter them using * and ? wildcards as in egow?n@*etcmcn.org that would block any of the following:

egowen@etcmcn.org
egowan@etcmcn.org
egowen@mail.etcm.org
egowan@mail.etcmcn.org
egowen@email.etcmcn.org
egowan@email.etcmcn.org

I would like to echo Ed's comments. Also, is there a way to upload addresses we want to blacklist from a text file? I am working to eliminate the need for a Barracuda and it has a global edit option for manually-entered blacklist items that opens a window that contains all the entries in what looks to be csv format. If we could do a bulk upload from a text or typed list then a user could just copy the entries in the Barracuda and paste them over into Untangle (editing our unneeded fields, naturally) without spending hours recreating the wheel.

Sounds like an excellent enhancement request!

Sounds like an excellent enhancement request!

Is that something that I can submit or do you all need to submit it?

You can do it... http://www.bugzilla.untangle.com. We love enhancement requests, though we don't always have time to enter them ourselves.

Is there a way that I can easily manually add email addresses to the Untangle box to black list email addresses? I am happy to SSH into the box and do what I need to do, because I think I may actually have to remove untangle from my environment due to the fact that I can't block emails from several former associates. (I know I can create rules on the Exchange server to handle them -- but for regulatory purposes -- I actually need to make sure they never actually hit our mail server!).

Thanks in advance,
Brian

P.S. I hope that this feature will be part of the impending 5.1 release as I know for 100% certain that the feature is a part of Spamassassin. Fingers crossed!
