Hi all!

There are a lot of people who trust only some anti-virus vendors. It is just like a religion: some pray Kaspersky, some Dr.Web, some Symantec and so on. Maybe it will be good to integrate more commercial anti-virus cores in addition to Kaspersky, just like it is done in Microsoft Forefront? So users will decide which combination of anti-viral cores to purchase and use.

I can name the following cores i trust more than others (in alphabecital order):

Antivir (Avira)
Dr.Web
Kaspersky
NOD32
Symantec

Some of them have quite good heuristic mechanisms (Avira, NOD32). It should also be useful if there will be a possibility to enable it. But i think it should be disabled bu default, because false positives are usually worse that missed virus...

p.s. i am sorry for my imperfect english.

Warning for others not to try (the program that is not clearly listed anymore)...it's a ROGUE antispyware program in the MalwarePro family. Similar to XPAntiVirus2008, Defender2008, and those other Virtumonde/Smitfraud/ZLob variants.

and a decent moderator, could easily remove the hyperlink (and or the entire statement) since, it's obvious just someone who wants to spread malware using the thread here.
But, untangle should be able to "see" it and prevent it from downloading -none the less. So, there is a lesson to be learned here.

YeOldeStonecat,

Thank you. I have been trying to get clarification on this, and there are a lot of opinions both ways...possibly people attempting to spread the problem...as the person who posted after you so rudely stated it, as he does so often.

Wasn't being rude at all. It's unfortunate, you have chosen to take it that way.

He isn't the only one taking your posts that way, it's your typical posting style. It's unfortunate, to be so miserable?
