Dear Forum,

I been struggling to get the bbc.co.uk Iplayer working through the untangle.
I have pinned it down to Spam Blocker.
I guess it is Active X component getting blocked. Does anyone know which active X Id i need to unblock.

Currently I am running without anti spam process.

regards

works fine in my office and home after I took the pressplay protocol off. Although it only comments on it being music it stopped a lot of video from working as well.

I assume you mean spyware blocker?

spam blocker doesn't even look at HTTP...

Opps, Yes sorry. spyware blocker.

I have tested that everything else is ok. port 1935 can been seen ok.

I even run the adobe test page to make sure that all was ok with flash server connections.

Nothing showed up as errors. But when the spyware blocker is active, both radio & video flash channels stop working next stop ask the bbc .

Since noone definitively answered this question at the time, I'd like to comment for the benefit of people, like myself who find themselves here via google only to find that there isn't a working solution.

I'm not sure if this will work in 100% of cases, but for me it seems to.

Simply add the domain edgefcs.net to the pass list for spyware blocker and hey-presto, all of a sudden iPlayer no longer complains: "There is a problem with this content, please try again later" whenever I try to access any video or audio on it. \o/

YMMV but hoping this will help someone else in the same boat.

Cheers

P.S. I think this solution was mentioned in another thread so I take no credit.
