I only concern with this 2 apps in my office they are troublemakers

I wonder if Untangle can block Xunlei (all version) effectively?

Another bad@$$ is PPlive, (P2P Video), any chance I can block them? (Any pattern available)

Thanks

i am not sure whether Untangle can block all version of xunlei, blocking xunlei.com and pplive.com can effectively reduce the traffic.

Welcome! Xunlei has been the most problematic one so far. They are very adaptive in their approach. It will take a lot of research and likely a Untangle user who *really* wants to block it to come up with all of the variations that it uses to stay alive.

I noticed the same thing in my box. Users can still use xunlei even if it's already blocked in the Protocol Control.

Hope Untangle can figure out soon the best solution for this one....

I wonder if it related to the application signature or other things?

The only way this will be cracked is if someone uses the product to download while watching a packet sniffer..

Regular expressions and I don't get along well so that rules me out for custom filters...
