If I want Untangle to use Kaspersky, do I have to use the $10 a month Kaspersky with Untangle or can I use my licensed copy I bought for my home PC?

you can continue to use the one on your home PC, but if you want one for the whole network you need to buy the one out of the untangle store.

Couldn't I simply install Kaspersky for Linux (it runs fine on debian) on the Untangle box?

Would I still get the rack functionality?

you could but it wouldn't scan traffic.

you need the untangle-kav node/rack element to do that.

Hi,
I bought 12mth sub for KAV 5mths ago, but just built a shiny new UT-6 box.

Q) Anybody know how do I get my licence into my new build?
Cheers,

You bought a subscription for a computer, not a network. They're two separate entities.

Did you buy Kaspersky as a subscription from Untangle, or did you buy it from Kaspersky? Maybe I misunderstood you. If you bought it from Untangle and had to rebuild your server, you can contact Untangle Support to get the license transferred.

Cheers,

I recommend anyone in similar boat contact UT support. Quick and easy fix.

You know this comes up often enough to suggest that the process isn't clear...

*ANY* subscription or licensing concern you can imagine will be resolved by phone support. I assume that even in the cases where you a la cart it and you didn't buy support, support will still deal with it.

It is a matter of swapping out the GUID of your old install with the new one in the back end. There is simply no way for a user to do this themselves.

So call! :D

A_Secret,

I see that I did misunderstand you. Sorry for the completely off base answer.
