View Full Version : cannot get it to log anything

I am trying to block and log smtp but the log fields are blank and even though the blocked port is checked it is not blocking anything. This isn't rocketscience, I am in the right area and just trying to block and log outbound smtp to see whose PC is infected but I am getting no where!

If it is outgoing SMTP then it probably isn't working because there is a default no-rack policy for outbound SMTP. I learned that the hard way. If you look at the top of your rack were you can click the drop down box to display the policy manager; in the tab that says Policy-To-Rack Map, there is a "No rack" policy for outgoing SMTP traffic. You will need to disable this policy in order for Untangle to alert to that type of traffic.
