There needs to be a way to set/force speed/duplex on interfaces via the GUI.

very frustrating for me, right now, everytime I make router/firewall rule changes, both interfaces in the box default back to auto/auto, which drops to 10/half, since the devices on the other ends are forced to 100/full.

I have to open the console, and use ethtool to force both interfaces back to 100/full.

BLARG!!!!!!

if someone has a better way to resolve this, let me know, but right now this is a serious pain.

(tempted to put a ethtool force command on a cron...)

* found it *

Under the "Config" tab
Click on "Support"
then click on "Network Interface"
the under the "MODE" column, make your changes.

Color me happy!!!

(now add cacheing proxy support, QoS support, and Traffic Shaping support, and I can start replacing my pfsense boxes!)

Guys,

Leave your Ethernet ports set to auto/auto at all times for all devices.

The only time you should ever have to touch this is with old incompatible equipment which should be fairly scarce on the ground today.

I have managed many networks over the years haven't had to force a duplex setting in 10. And this is with tens of thousands of devices.
