Hi,
I'm trying to block torrent traffic, specifically Azureus or as it's now called Vuze. I couldn't find an answer through a forum search.
Any suggestions?
Go to Protocol Control and block all peer-to-peer.

Go to Protocol Control and block all peer-to-peer.
Thank you very much, it appears to be working.
That's what I like to hear!

Azureus/Vuze uses the "Bittorrrent" protocol

I just tried this and thought it was working as well and all of a sudden it started downloading....
I went to the log files and could see where it had tried numerous ports and failed... It must have done something to change the way it was using ports or a different protocol but it is working again now! Darn:mad:... I though I had these Vuze users fixed....

You'll never get completely ahead of these things...
The internet at its core is the very definition of free speech. So any attempt to control it is always subverted, bypassed, or otherwise defeated. The reality is that the tools provided by Untangle cannot, and never will, cure behavioral problems within the networks it protects. The only thing that can do that is direct Human to Human contact, usually in the form of education, or disciplinary action.
The Untangle at that point has the much more tenable goal of providing the information a business needs to perform that action.

so does utorrent. I'm logging it right now via protocol control. I'm only logging because I use it to download:D
