Issue:
DameWare is a remote control utility we use to connect to our different pc's for remote support. The client has the ability to install the service to the pc if it does not exist. This does not work through untangle at the present moment.. I've gotten around it but my concern is, the EVENT LOGGING, under router shows no entries when you click refresh on it.? I can't find any entires in any logs showing one computer connecting to the other which is going through the untangle.. We're using a External Alias IP of 192.168.1.21 which has a static route of 10.10.10.154 which points to the other users PC. Remote desktop works, as does DameWare when the client is already installed.. My question, is why is there no logging or am I looking at the wrong spot to get logging for something like?
Summary: Where can you find logs to review if/when someone has connected to a pc through the untangle.. Utilizing the External Aliases with a routing rule to allow port 6129 (DameWare) or 3389 (RDP).
Thanks,
Joey
