Hello, I am considering Untangle installation on HP ProLiant ML115(AMD Opteron 64).
I couldn't show Untangle installation wizard for a long time after boot from Untangle installation CD.
How can I solve this problem ?
What (if any) specific messages are you seeing on the screen?

what kind of monitor are you using? is it a flat panel lcd or crt monitor? try using a older monitor with it. i had some problems using my flat lcd screen monitor and i switch to a old big head monitor and that worked fine.

I tryed untangle installation with a legacy crt monitor but the result was same.
I think about that graphic interface card or disk controller compatibility problem in Knoppix 4.x of untangle CD so I am considering to remaster knoppix kernel of untangle CD
jbcheon ... How much RAM do you have installed? What kind of disk drive/controller?

2GB Memory, 160GB SATA HDD, Disk Controller is HP Smart Array.
jbcheon & valenzuelajavier,
Is there anything you can tinker with on the disk controller to "dummy it down"? In looking the controller family up on the web, I am wondering if the SCSI & RAID capabilities of the card may be too advanced for any drivers that are in the Untangle distro. Maybe try a more basic disk controller card?

I got a mail from Dirk Morris. Refer everything:
For those trying to install from source because the knoppix-based installer isn't working for them - it may be easier to install from packages.
Installing from packages basically entails installing debian sarge and then manually installing the untangle packages on top.
There is a rough howto here:
http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/Installing_on_Debian_Sarge
If anyone tries it please give us feedback or edit the wiki page.
In Thunderbird (5.1) this will be easier and on something newer than sarge!

IŽd tried this procedure, but it seens that the hardware of HP Proliant ML115 is incompatible with Debian 3.1 r5, it does not found the harddisk (SATA With or with RAID)

It is the no-ram having onboard video and Smart Array that make Compaq syatems a bear with Linux. Your best bet is installing Ubuntu and putting the beta on that. And installing Ubuntu won't be cake.
