Testing out the Portal and have setup a user and a machine on the back end (WinXP SP2) to attempt to do RDP using the properJavaRDP client. I am able to successfully RDP into the machine when connected via the VPN.
When I attempt to use the Java client, I get a "window" that basically consists of the minimize, maximize (inactive), and close button and a 1-2 pixel high blue bar in the "window" and therefore it isn't working. (I was able to see it once).
The machien I am using to remote is a fully patched WinXP SP2 box with Java 1.6 installed on the box. The machine I am remoting into is afully patchd WinXP SP2 box with Java 1.6 on it.
I don't want to use the VPN solution in this case because we are providing remote access to a contractor and I don't want their personal machines on my client's network.
I hope this makes sense and appreciate any questions, feedback or assitance anyone can offer...
