Hello Untangle Community,

First off I would like to thank you guys putting out such a great product. After two weeks of playing around with Re-router, reading the forums and, waiting for 5.4 I deployed over the weekend, my companies dedicated UT server with no major problems at all. So far! ;)

We are running Web, Protocol, and Reports for now and depending on how monitoring goes over the next month we will probably be purchasing the Pro package to allow for even better control that will reflect our updated AUP.

I am having one little problem, however, it seems the SMTP is not being logged even though I have it checked off. POP is being logged. Its not a major problem but it something I would like to see working.

Thanks again,
Jub

If you are installed in bridge mode, check to make sure that your cabling is not reversed. External interface towards the internet, internal interface towards your LAN.

awesome! - yeah my guess is cables backwards. By default it doesn't scan outbound SMTP (for several reasons) so most everything will work with cables backwards in bridge mode except SMTP scanning!

Awesome, it seems that they are indeed backwards, haven't changed them yet going to wait till the end of the work day. I can just switch them in the network config, Interfaces tab correct?

I swear I checked three times, and labeled them while I was installing the server. Because it seems to be a common problem on this forum. Somehow I still mixed them up. :(
