Hi guys,

I am installing UTNAGLE on Dell Poweredge 2850 Server with 4 gb RAM and 73GB Hdd and 2 Intel Lan cards. The install runs very smoothly and setup completed in few minutes.

After tht it shutdowns automatically and when i start it via pressing power button it goes to grub menu and boot it to the default after 5 seconds.. but after that it just restart the server every time...

Can you guys help me through it please.....

Hi,
My name is Art Benion. I have the same problem. I tried the untangle
software on four computer. three had SCIS Hard drives and one had a IDE Hard Drive. The IDE hard disk worked but none of the SCSI drive worked.

Is this a SCSI problem?

Please rely
Thanks:confused:

Welcome to both of you! You should do some reading on our hardware forums. It seems that newer Dell boxes are hit and miss. That will hopefully improve early next year with a newer kernel.

I don't recall seeing many people who have had luck installing on SCSI drives. IDE is best, SATA is next, and SCSI is way behind.

Check out the hardware forums, and when asking questions, always remember to be very specific with hardware makes/models just in case somebody has experience with that specific type.
