Dear All,

Please forgive me if this thread in wrong category.

For your info.

I will install Untangle as gateway in my company which i work within 2 week time.

Before that i need to purchase server that compatible.

My question is Untangle compatible with Dell server Poweredge SC1435 ?

I will suggest my company to subscribe for professional untangle.

Please help me to answer this if anyone out there had experienced install it in this server.

Thank you.

hey kami.
untangle doesnt require a server class hardware. you can run it on a decent desktop. please check link for hardware requirements and sizing guidance
http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/Hardware_Requirements

also note that most server class have raid / disk controllers that may or may not have native driver support for the kernel that we are using. ( Debian 2.6 )

hello richie,

thanks for your answer.

Actually i'm interested to purchase the pre installed server but i'm not sure whether untangle can ship it to my country Malaysia.

kami ... I just checked and found out that we are not allowed to ship hardware to Malaysia. There is a certification process required for the US government, and possibly also for Malaysia. We have not pursued certification for international shipment as of this time. Sorry!
