unable to install untangle platform and Blank Display problem solved !!!

Dear viewers ,

I have recently installed Untangle and i faced a lot of problem

1. Screen became blank on LCD monitor.

When the above error was solved another error came

2. Unable to install untangle platform

I tried to change from IDE HDD to Sata and received another error.

3. unable to create swap space on untangle.

The Anwer to these questions are mentioned below respectively

1. Change the Video Card it should have good memory like 32 to 64MB if external , SIS video graphich cards give some problem.
or use builtin Nvidia Graphich cards.

2 and 3. To solve this problem install untangle on proper system with enough hardware specs i.e Pentium 4 with proper sata support most recent motherboards have (older sata support motherboards give problems), 512MB ram and 80GB HDD Sata.

By using proper hard disk with proper hdd controller all the problems vanished and i installed untangle successfully.

Please ask if you have any other problem related to installation.

Can you let us know what motherboard you used?

I tried an asus p5k-vm with 1G RAM, 160 G SATA drive and was dropped to knoppix!

Hi,

I am installing untangle v5.1.0 on AcerPower Series P4, 2G RAM, 160HD, all requirements met on the setup wizards, but on the Untangle Platform Installation (Copying files. This can take a while. Please be patient), almost 4 hours got the same window. This is my first time to install Untangle, is this how it works for the installation...very very very slow? Thanks
