Default how is this possible.. 39Mbps when QoS is set lower?

    this one has me stumped....

QoS is set at 10240kbps for all my connecitons

but when i ran a speed test from my desktop i got 39Mbps....

i do not have any bypass rules for my desktop IP....

Is something in Bandwidth Control not applying, i have default traffice set to medium..

What did i screw up now....

Try downloading a file from kernel.org or something more rational than those tests.

How are your WANs configured? Are there any PPPoE interfaces?
Are you using all 3 WANs?

No PPPoE direct Rj45 line in from a connector from a Fiber line in from our ISP next door split into a switch since we have 3 IP ranges and then out into this UT firewall.

i am using 2, one is a single IP for secure connections to another network, the main one has a 50/50 speed on it from the ISP

the 3rd was going to be for a cable hookup but not in place yet.

Downloading from kernal.org i am only getting 600-750KB i peaked just under 10Mbps at 944kB/s

Doing some speed tests on some other sites, downloading files, i getting above the 10Mbps i set.

    i got 13.74Mbps from speedtest.net

    tried this one

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html and choose the 1G file

2.2MB/s to start for about 10 seconds now around 1000kB/s to 1,300 kB/s

I also disable Web Cache for the tests just incase.

    2) Dallas, TX: http://www.theshore.net/moto/2006082...ling-Aaron.mov (served by a Linode)

    2,012 kB/s

Going over my system just to make sure i dont have any bypass rules set, but none i see for my desktop, going to try the download from other systems on the network.

took out bandwidth control prior to the reboot of the system, did a reboot, came back in and seems the speeds are still ignoring the QoS setting i have in place of 10Mb, tested it on 3 different computers on the network under 3 different accounts under diff racks and same results.

    kernal.org is showing me 1400 / 1500 kB/sec right now..
