    How is Untangle competing? Just because a few companies have chosen to sell hardware with Untangle pre-loaded? There is nothing magical about hardware, I'm sure Untangle chose Dell because of their warranty and support infrastructure. The smaller guys simply can't match that.

    first of all..you obviously haven't researched what UT appliances offers. It is not simply just UT preloaded. UT appliances has a UNIQUE appliance. It is not all about warranty either..it's about service. Ever dealt with Dell technical support? Ever get a competent tech? It is not easy. Frankly i'll take a 1 year warranty where the owners themselves bend over backwards to help you instead of a script reading monkey for three. Most of the time when i call dell/hp(enter large pc company name) i am telling them what the issue is AND what the fix is.

    If you want to buy a product because of the name yeah buy the "official" UT product. I'll buy the appliance with REAL unique features and the service and support to back it up.

    BTW dell tech support? they don't know Linux...not well at least.. I can tell you UT appliances knows what Linux is...AND how to fix it AND the hardware it is running on.,
