Default restore is successful but NICs are messed

    hi there,
we replaced hard drive with SSD on otherwise same hardware, did restore and got all the settings back, except interfaces were messed.
we re-arranged them by drag and drop and everything was fine until reboot...

after reboot it came up all wrong again. Luckily External interface came up on the same place, so I was able to connect and re-arrange them again as my tech already left and the iste is 1500km away...
I am afraid to reboot now but they have often power outages...
Is there a way to check and verify how interfaces are going to come up?

Did you reboot after the restore? If you didn't that was the problem.

The interfaces don't "set in" until after a reboot. So when you restore the backup and make sure things are done completely, it should be rebooting itself. But for some reason, the restore process doesn't always reset the server, then you have to do it manually.

After the reboot makes things set in, and you reconfigured the NICs again, if things are working you should be ok for any following reboots. I doubt the interfaces will move again.
