Default Windows 7 AD Script

We've been deploying Windows 7 to a lot of our clients and have found that the AD Script does not work with it. Any ideas on how to modify it so it does?

I will give that a try this evening - most of the users are now in the office, so I don't want to mess with them just yet! Thanks!

The script seems to work fine on my Win 7 x86 box. Though I have UAC disabled which could be why it works.

Geeks123, how are you pushing out the script ? Do you have another script(s) ?

And what exactly "does not work" ?

We are pushing out scripts via the GPO at Logon. The scripts are setup to run synchronously and hidden to prevent users from canceling the script before it completes (which happened a lot before we made the change). The older XP Pro systems seem to have no problem with the UT AD script, but the Windows 7 Pro x86 box does nothing but sit there with a black screen and nothing else. The only way to stop it is to do a hard reset of the machine. Once I took the UT AD script out, everything went back to normal.

The script never completes, it runs in an endless loop. The script needs to run asynchronously.

The script runs silently in the background and never terminates. As mrunkel said, you need to set your GPOs to run the script asynchronously.

If you need to know where to go to do that, search in these forums, it's been posted many times. I don't remember right this minute.

I read the GPO a little closer and realized the Computer one says Startup, not Logon. Answered my own question ... sorry ....
