Hi,
We're trying to setup a new Untangle install and wanted to use Windows AD Lightweight Directory Services as opposed to full AD. Has anyone any experience with this - ie any working examples? We want the functionality that the AD connector offers, but don't need a full AD install and so AD LDS looked perfect. However, after setting up AD LDS to mimic a domain we just get "settings not correct" errors from the connector. Has anyone tried this before? Thanks! |

Well sorry I don't have an answer for you but for anyone to help you they will need more details. Is it running on a server or workstation, What versions. Try testing it with some freeware ldap explorer tools, does that work? What else are you using this for, does that work. Any other info that might be useful like is untangle in router mode or bridgemode.
My guess would be that you only have a few computers and no server. I have never seen ldap without a server before in ms world. I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it. Good luck, Don |
