Unable to connect to AD

I am trying to set up the trial of the Directory connector and when doing the active directory test I am getting a "Failure! Your settings are not correct."

It is connecting to a server 2008 server. Secure LDAP is turned off. DNS on the external nic is pointing to the same server that is providing ldap.

I have verified the settings and I am still getting a failure.

I have done a packet capture on the AD server and I am not seeing any connection attempts when doing the test. When doing a connection test network diagnostics to port 389 on the server it works and I can see the connection attempt on packet capture.

We have other devices on the network at are doing ldap authentication to the same server successfully.

I have also tried setting up radius and I get the same results with no connection attempts to the server.

Any help appreciated.

when you set the UT settings , try to reboot the UT box then see if it connects?
