I came to the office this morning and I found out that the Directory Connector is not working. For some reason doesn't show any user logged in on the status page even though the test is successful and it has been working for the last year and a half without much trouble. I called support and to my surprise I also found out that I'm not entitled to support because I'm not a support subscriber. This is unacceptable, why in the hell I'm licensing an application every year if I'm not entitled to get support for such application? It's not like I paid once... I'm paying for this on a yearly basis! I can't think of any other company that charges you a yearly subscription fee for an application but then you're on your own.
I'm sorry for the rant. Back to my problem. Does anybody here knows what's going on with the directory connector? I'm running version 9.0.2~svn20110805r29457release9.0-1lenny so none of the wiki patches apply to my machine. Thanks |

You are entitled to support with Directory Connector if you are a paid user.
You only need Live Support if you need platform support or support with other apps or general issues. Give them a call. They'll take a look.

Someone from support will be calling you shortly. You are most certainly supported for that product.

Are you using AD or Radius? If AD, I would run the AD login script on a PC manually to see if it shows on the status page.

Yeah, if you recently upgraded to 9.0.2 it would naturally flush all current users because it reboots.

Quote:
Take a look, your OP was at 7:40am, DMorris, one of Untangle's devs, as well as one of Untangle's FOUNDERS responded at 7:56 am. One minute later, another developer mrunkel responds. One minute behind him, a third developer responds jcoffin. 4 minutes after that, DMorris responds a second time. So in less than 20 minutes after your post on the forums, a place that doesn't offer "official" support you got help from one of Untangle's founders, as well as most of their development staff! I know you likely didn't know that, but that's the Untangle support I've come to know, love, and staked by business on. You didn't even start in the correct place for support and Untangle hits back with the entire weight of their support team. When was the last time anyone did that for you?
