Where can you download that AD LOGON VB script?

On Untangle....there's the spot to download it..but it does nothing..just sits there. That got pretty boring...so I went to another PC and went about downloading the script to plop it inside the appropriate directory on the clients DC.....but can't find where to download it by searching this site....

Pressing the magic button should launch a browser window with a link to the script and the following instructions:

After downloading the VBScript, place it on a share available to all users in the Active Directory Domain. Then run it at logon by adding the script to the Group Policy under Policy -> User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Scripts ( Logon / Logoff )-> Logon. The path to the script should be of the form: \\servername\sharename\adlogon_user.vbs

I believe you...it just doesn't happen. I clicky the link many times...the mouse interacts with the link...just.....nada....the staring contest begins...

Ya got me laughing! That's not easy on Tuesdays. Considering that its a .VBS file, are you blocking those? If you want, PM me with your email address and I can send it to you in a ZIP file.

I don't believe I'm blocking .VBS files....as I tried to download from within Untangle itself? Unless VBS is blocked by default in Untangle.

Attached in the generic script. You will need to edit it and insert the internal ip address of your untangle box.

Perhaps you're on firefox with noscript enabled?

Hi,

Do I have to do some configuration on the untangle box? I tried to add the vbscript in my AD but the report is still IP instead of the users login name.

In the script, you have to edit the IP entry so that your AD server is listed there. It also has to be setup so that each user goes through it to connect to the network.
