I have not got my AD connector running.
I have one Pc where this login script fails. I can't work out why all the other PC's are running. its not an OS problem although this PC is running Vista so are others and they work fine. The symptom is that every few minutes ( probably 5) a new window opens in IE. Clearly the AD logib script is trying to run. The following is the URL: http://10.1.2.1/adbp/registration?us...C&action=login The private IP address of my Unantagle box is 10.1.2.1 - so thats correct user name=davina - user name is davina and also shown in AD connector domain=MAINLAN in fact my domain in the AD connector page is MAINLAN.ORG hostname=JACK-PC is correct as the name of the PC So the only thing wrong is the domain name. However this script is run on my server and works for everyother PC so how comes its wrong just on this one PC. anyone got any good ideas please? |

The AD expert is out of town for a bit
![]() Do you have any weird plugins installed? We've seen issues with strange plugins (like yahoo).

I don't think so. But sdaying that ....its odd its one PC only. I couldremove it from AD and rejoin it tothe domain. Maybe that will fix it? - if it does I will let people here know and if it does nto I will wait till Mr. AD returns.

If you installed Untangle before 5.3, there was a different AD script. If you somehow had the old and the new both installed AND this computer was using the old one, that could cause it. The old one ran in a different method, and users had popups every few minutes.

I did use this install on this PC with V5.2 but then upgraded UT with a new PC and V5.3 was upgraded.
So its possible you are correct MDH. How do I upgrade the login script for this PC on its own? Or do I just re-download the login script on the main server where you are told to install it. |

I may end up deferring to "Mr. AD" when he returns, but in lieu of that, make sure that the current login script is installed according to the instructions given when you download it, make sure that the "weird" user is using the same group policy as all others, and that he is in the same hierarchy of the AD tree. I am thinking that there may be a variation in one of these areas for that user. Possibly also look to see if his/her password implementation/expiration is the same as is used for other users just in case he/she is somehow excluded from some aspect of normal processing.
