Default AD Connector and Desktop Authority

Does anyone have any experience using the AD Connector with ScriptLogics Desktop Authority. I have the AD Connector installed and working (the best that I can tell), But in the script box in the users account is where I have to run the slogic script file. I am pretty sure that you cannot run two logon scripts from there. Desktop Authority does give the ability to run vbs scripts from in their application but it locks up the client when it gets to the AD Connector logon script. Any ideas?

OMG.. good luck! Do you have to run ALL your scripts with ScriptLogics Desktop Authority?

I have the same problem, haven't been able to figure it out yet. DA just doesn't like the script...

So create your own login script that fires both off? All you're doing is call whatever.bat in here.

Have to give that a try, I haven't had much time to play with it lately.

I did get it to work. Sky-Knight was exactly right. I created a batch file called Untangle_logon.bat and placed it in the netlogon directory. The batch file was simply:

@echo off
start \\servername\netlogon\adlogon_user.vbs

I then kicked off this batch file from the application launcher in Desktop Authority and everything ran perfectly. Hope this helps.

This is off topic a bit. But I switched from Desktop Athority the the open source ScriptStart (http://www.scriptstart.com/) last year and will never go back. It has saved our school a lot of money.

Is it open source? It looks like you have to pay for it. :-(

Like untangle there is a free community version and a supported paid version. The paid supported version was still 1/5th the cost of DA, and ran better.

Continuing the thread hijack...

I've had a quick look at the features of Script Start. It looks to be fairly compatible with DA except for the built in remote control. I assume you are using VNC/other now?
