Default Better Bandwidth Reporting - Realtime

Will Untangle ever integrate any real time RRD graphing? I wish that Untangle had a way to see traffic at a glance, specifically when it comes to IPs. When I use to use smoothwall, I had a nice real time graph called bandwidth bars that I could look at and see at any given moment who was pegging the line, using the most upload/download, or even just see how many machines we actively downloading "stuff".

Here it is in smoothwall, half tempted to spin up a VM and somehow make it transparent just for this one page...

pfsense has similar graphs

I know Untangle isn't a firewall like the other 2, but many use it for one in router mode. Just curious.....
thanks

I have used PRTG to monitor Untangles NIC's before if that helps you.

But yes, it would be nice to be built in.

Hi. I posted a very simple way to do this using iftop

http://forums.untangle.com/showthrea...038#post157038

I still hope this graphing feature gets added in the future though.

I agree as well. Even DD-WRT has basic real-time bandwidth monitoring.

I use the bandwidth app and click open bandwidth monitor. It shows me live traffic.

Yeah but you see every single session all at once (instead of total bandwidth for each host, good luck trying to figure out who the bandwidth hog is), and no visualizations.... and not free. No offense, but that monitor page is no more than event logs and I couldn't ever see myself using it. Look at the screenshot I posted, then you will get feel for what I am talking about. The real value in that app is the control, not the monitoring or visual representation of what is going on.
