9.2.1 crashing every few weeks

I recently installed Untangle 9.2 as our primary internet gateway replacing pfSense. The installation is running under KVM on a CentOS 5.6 host. I've also run the upgrade to 9.2.1.

The problem I am having is that the Untangle VM is crashing every few weeks, as in completely non-responsive. I have to destroy the VM instance and restart it.

There are no obvious messages in the logs as far as I can tell. I'm using virtio NICs. Any ideas?

I'd like to build a setup like yours. Did you ever resolve this issue?
If not, what kind of setup did you resort to?

I always used the e1000 NIC drivers and never had any issues.

Sorry for the slow response. I hadn't subscribed to my own post.

Anyway, after disabling reports Untangle hasn't crashed since. I have 9.2.1 running on ESXi 4.0 (with reports disabled) and that also works well.

That indicates your virtual environment is running low on IOPS to its storage. The reports engine when it generates reports creates a TON of drive IO. It will get as busy as an Exchange server for 30min while it sorts out the reports data then it calms down again.
