Malware Leakage (SmartHDD)

Any thoughts on how much difference paid-for Antivirus (Commtouch) would make in improving malware protection? Specifically we have been hit by malware such as SmartHDD recently.

Also, at some point over the weekend of July 7 (DNSChanger-related?) untangle traffic grinded to a halt, the interface was unreachable, powercycling the HW brought things back. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot/avoid/understand more about this?

If you don't have the Commtouch Content Filter? You may want to consider that too. That will keep you from every getting to some of the lure and dropper sites to begin with.
