Hello all,
I recently downloaded untangle, set it up, everything is pretty cool, the only thing I was wondering about, was that the user interface of the untangle firewall application is much different than the one shown in untangle firewall wiki. Is there some settings that I haven't done ? I have attached the screenshots. I cannot find those advanced settings that are shown on the untangle wiki Can someone please advice? BTW, I am using the latest version, like I downloaded this around 1 week ago. Last edited by geek-assist; 12-25-2011 at 08:01 AM.. |

Hello there,
hm..basically i want to block all ports and then start adding a list of ports to allow, how do i do that with this one? I mean i know how to block all ports - by adding destination ports as any and blocking them, but how do i add rules to ALLOW stuff ?? Last edited by geek-assist; 12-25-2011 at 09:03 AM.. |

If you want to allow the traffic then don't check the "BLOCK" checkbox under "Preform the following action(s)" section.

![]() I'm gonna change it to a dropdown with two options instead of a checkbox. Then I think it will be clearer that "not blocked" is actually explicitly allowed.

In a future version, probably 9.2. On upgrade functionally nothing will change, its just a different way to visualize the same thing. The UI will just be different.
