We have installed the new version of 9.1 including updates as of today 12/30. The firewall appliance is installed but after clicking on settings to view the firewall rules we get a pop up message stating the following:
[Exception..."Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsOXMLHttpRequest.send]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: https://IP/webgui/sript/components.js?s=1323426506 :: anonymous :: line 317" data: no] We the click ok and instead of showing the firewall rules we get the following message: Error: There is no settings class for the node 'untangle-node-firewall'. We have tried removing the firewall and adding again but the same issue occurs. It is only happening with this appliance as all the others are working fine. One odd thing we noticed is each virtual appliance installed in rack shows its associated icon but the firewall appliance does not show an icon. Any ideas on how correct this issue or does it require a reinstall? Thanks. |

Sounds like a caching issue. I'd flush your browser caches and any caches in between.
Could be disk corruption I guess, but even if the javascript file was corrupt that wouldn't effect the icon, so i don't know.

Thanks Dmorris. I tried that but still the same issue however, your recommendation led us in the right direction. We have discovered the issue only occurred with Firefox browser and worked fine with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. We the tried a different computer running Firefox and it worked fine. This leads us to believe there is an add-on in Firefox causing this issue from the workstation we were using. We are going to remove each add-on one by one to determine which one causes the issue for future reference.
What is alarming is that this issue is only happening to an Untangle server that is running 9.1 where other servers running 9.0 are not having this issue even when connecting to the webgui from the same workstation displaying the error. |
