HOWTO: remove castle/untangle logo AND use your own logo

hacking your box to avoid having to buy branding manager is one thing, but using our forums and documentation to tell others is pushing it a bit far don't you think?

Dude what are you talking about?? There are several threads where you guys post the link to the custom.zip file and tell people that custom captive pages can be made and are acceptable??? My post was only in reference to the Captive Portal page (although I should have mentioned captive portal in the thread title).

Is replacing the Untangle logo ALL captive portal does?

by the way WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FORUM SECTION I POSTED THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN???

Feel free to post about modifications to captive portal pages.
If you have something valuable like putting a captcha on the page or collecting credit cards that would be great. Thats exactly why we added the custom zip options so people could come up with all sorts of use cases that we would never be able to support.

However, just posting a way to change to logo to circumvent buying untangle's branding manager application does not fall within the acceptable use of this forum.

Llama have hair and pointed ears, live in the north of my country , Bolivia, Chile and Peru. I thought that was kind of a dinosaur (no allusion to any technology)

To try and make up for it I created a HOWTO post on Untangle VPN + Samba/Windows share mapping. It has problems I ran into and the solutions. I think it should work fine for bridge mode users also. The thread is here:
