    I installed ntop per the instructions and it seems to be working for the most part. The part that is not working is if I go to on the mail menu across the top:

    IP
    Local

    For example ports used or active tcp sessions.

    Anything under the local settings says no traffic to display yet. I have had ntop running for about a week. it is collecting other things so I know it is sniffing. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    On a new install of 6.2 -- the first directive you provide
    sed -i -e 's/APT::Cache-Limit 10000000/APT::Cache-Limit 20000000/' /etc/apt/apt.conf
    produces the following error on my system:

    sed: can't read /etc/apt/apt.conf: No such file or directory

    Can you check/confirm if /etc/apt/apt.conf exists on your machine?
