Default Need 50-100$ 2 port Sata Raid controller

My main drive took a dump, am going to rebuild with a single drive to get us back up quickly, but want to implement a raid 1 to try to prevent this from happening again.

the controller previously posted was not a raid controller saw that after reading the thing (Duh!) suggestions?

only need raid 1, must be PCI Express.

does untangle work with a cluster protocol or VRRP? having redundant firewalls with immediate cut over would be really nice.

Both are fake raid and will not work in Untangle. A SATA raid controller that works out of the box in Untangle cannot be had for under $100

The minimum card you can get that works is the 3Ware 8006-2LP

Not really, however, you have some options. You can use the special bypass cards and Jim (proactivens) is working on some redundancy.
to be understood, you must first understand.

We already have bridge mode redundancy, and we can get UCARP to work in router mode, its just hackish.

all of these are real raid:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...CE&PageSize=20
They may or may not have kernel suport..i don't remember which kernel UT uses.

    These are also real raid:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...CE&PageSize=20

Just about all are supported in the kernel that UT uses. Keep in mind a lower x pci-e card will work in a higher pci-e slot..aka a 1x will work in a 4x slot...etc etc
