Default shuttle pc + intel gb desktop adapter

    Hi,

One of my friends bought him a shuttle barbone pc with a realtek adapter which doesn't work off course.

He has 2 slots free: pci en pci express for the graphical card.

    Question:

    Can we put a EXPI9301CT (intel pci-e
INTEL GIGABIT CT DESKTOP ADAPTER SINGLE PORT RJ45 PCIE RETAIL
) card in the slot of the graphical card ??

Never tried this and that slot seems a lot bigger ...

And hopefully that card gets detected because i did read about some problems with gb adapters in the past

    thanks in advance

Just make sure it is not from an older Intel 945 chipset. Many PCI-e x16 slots were PEG only (PCI Express Graphics) and did not support anything but video cards.
