    Unhappy Optiplex XE

I just got a new Optiplex XE SFF, and I'm noticing that although there are two LOM's on it, UT only recognizes one of them? Is there something else I should be doing?

We use the same Dell XE, and all the interfaces work. We also added the third NIC as well.

Are you having to load any additional drivers? I have the newest UT build on CD... I guess I could try a re-burn just in case.. but it only detects one. It will show 2 interfaces in the list, but only one has a MAC address?

I see from the Dell information that the NIC that won't work is different than the other LOM.. it's Broadcom BCM57780, and it's ALL OVER Linux forums (all different distros) for not working with all but the newest Kernels..

Our Dell XE works just fine without any modifications to the ISO.

What do you mean "other LOM" there is no Lights Out Management on that unit, just two onboard NICs.

If I recall, each NIC uses a different chipset but they have sequential MAC addresses.

It could be that our XE uses a different motherboard than currently shipping ones as Dell "freezes" the bill of materials for our unit for a longer time than their regular product line.
