Default Running out of Memory for some reason....

The past week or so our Untangle box has been burning up the memory for no apparent reason. I log in and of course Java is using about 100-200% CPU and about 80% of mem available. I know it should grab the mem if it is available but I think it is grabbing too much:

It seems once it gets to about 1GB or less of free ram, it becomes a dog and internet browsing slows to a halt. This seems to happen under no user load as well. I do a restart and it seems good for a few days until it slowly eats up all the mem.

We are running 8.1 x64. Ideas?

The key is to figure out where the memory is going. What process?
Sometimes there are runaway processes (like slapd), sometimes its java, sometimes its spamassassin, sometimes its one of the virus scanners, etc.

I'm not always fond of calling and interrupting. I do some some support and I have little things that drive me nuts that I try not to do to others. I Was also busy so I filled out the support questionnaire that the Live Support module takes you to. I was never sent an email back though - do they go into a black hole?

I'll try calling if it happens again though, I am going to wait and see how the upgrade to 9 runs.

    Thanks

We had reports that it isn't working for some. If you didn't receive an auto-response it didn't work. I'd email support@untangle.com
