    Default DELL poweredge R310

    Hi

I'm currently trying to set up untangle on a brand new dell poweredge r310 - I already have it installed on an IBM server but it's a bit old and CPU looks strained at times.

The problem is that Untangle does not look like it has the drivers for my sas controller (PERC H200, mpt2sas) and can't set up the system.
I looked for debian drivers for this one but I'm rather confused as to what I should do, really.

Tried the drivers from the CD but they're only for suse and redhat distributions.

Any idea how I can get this done?

    Thanks

try taking out the h200 for now. run directly off the motherboard. make sure the onboard controller is not set to raid.

yeah but in that case using a brand new machine and NOT using raid is a bit dissapointing, isn't it?

I think you'll need to wait for them to make the jump from debian lenny to debian squeeze before they'll have decent raid driver support out of the box. It's on the roadmap, but the cynical side of me expects it to be ready about the same time that debian wheezy goes stable.

I do know there's a guide floating around the forums somewhere for getting things working using mdraid. You might look for that.

thanks! I guess I'll just use less apps on the IBM machine, at least it runs smoothly there and I need to be certain there's no unexpected stuff happening.

I'll wait for the next version

I was able to get it working on a R200 without any issues, did not use RAID but would have to check what controllers were installed.
