I have just installed Untangle and was trying to test it. I set up untangle as a bridge in the following way:
Internet ---- Untangle Server ---- Router )))) Laptop (through wireless) When I use a ping to an outside IP, it works normally, however I can't navigate the internet. The laptop does not resolve any DNS names. I hope I explained clear, if I have to provide more information to be helped just tell me. Thank you! |

1. disable all router functions. ie DHCP.
2. move the cable from UT to the router LAN port (not WAN). 3. use UT for DHCP and all other firewall functions. 4. use the router config only to adjust wifi settings. |

Welcome.
You almost never want an Untangle bridge outside your router. At this point you are using two public addresses, and your ISP is probably not happy about it. If you want wireless clients protected, with the equipment you have listed. You will need to reinstall UT as a router, kill DHCP on the wireless router you have, and plug the lan port of UT into the lan side of your current wireless router. Yes, this leaves the WAN port on your router disconnected, the UT's external will be connected to your modem.
