thanks for the heads up.

I don't plan on using exs though. maybe I should look into VirtualBox rather then vmware

so what I did to get it working, is i put the host Nic in bridge mode and only used one vnic and set untangle to bridge mode. seemed to work fine and connect to the net fine, just need to setup the smtp traffic to pass threw the vm before it hits exchange.
