Default Moving back to open source

I had a small paid plan that I lost track of and no longer have. Now untangle will not upgrade. What do I need to do to go back to an open source version?

    Thanks,
    -marc

You need to remove all the paid modules from the rack.

I had though I had. I only had reporting and VPN up. I have now deleted every component from the rack and upgraded. I still get this in System Info
    Summary:
    UID: e376-4fb5-e522-2172
    Build: 6.2.0~svn20090527r23446release6.2-1lenny

    Java: 1.6.0_12
Also when I go to upgrade I still see all the available upgrades listed.

You also need to delete it via the command line.
Example to remove the Kaspersky Virus Blocker
    apt-get remove --purge untangle-libitem-kav

Also, since you are coming from a very old version, it might have some issues.
It might be best to right down your settings and reimage to the latest version. I would do a restore since that is a very old version.
to be understood, you must first understand.

The paid module sometimes has to be removed with APT on the command line to allow an upgrade. Which paid module did you have? I'll find you the appropriate command.

I'm actually not sure. I had a basic support package and used VPN and reporting which I thought were free packages. I may have tried something out back when I first installed it but it was so long ago I don't remember. I guess I have to reinstall, bummer.

I appreciate the support guys. Thanks!!

    Support is a paid module

    apt-get remove --purge untangle-libitem-support untangle-node-support

That should clear out the remnants of the old support module and get you upgrading again.

If it still doesn't work, run the following command and look for errors.

    tail -50 /var/log/uvm/apt.log

Yep I had that issue. Purging APT fixed it.
