Upgrade; 7.2 to 7.3 to 7.3.1

Having read through the bug lists I wonder how does that work?

I have a 7.2 box, that doesn't have an upgrade available.

If/when the upgrade becomes available for this install, will it upgrade to 7.3.1 or will it upgrade to 7.3 and then a month later (or whenvever) to 7.3.1?
